Newcastle Mosque is open for the five daily prayers including the Friday prayer, Eid and Taraweeh during Ramadan. We are grateful to Allah (the Most High) that we have been provided with a full time Imam. Sheikh Mohammed Khamis from Egypt who has high academic achievements in Islamic studies including  jurisprudence from Al-Azhar Institute in Cairo. He is now helping to manage the on-going religious and social activities taking place every day in Newcastle Mosque.

These daily activities comprise, but are not limited to the following:

·         Quranic circle, Quran recitation for all ages.

·         Ongoing lectures on the Arabic language, Tafseer, History of Jerusalem and Palestine. Life and management skills and jurisprudence. Apart from the above mentioned activites the Mosque also runs the following:

·         Support new arrivals to Newcastle, including International students and those who have come here on Humanitarian visas.

·         Iftr every evening during Ramadan and on Sunday nights  community iftr.

·         Provide scripture classes to the children of our community both at the Mosque and also in the schools.
